A geographic information system (GIS is a software product that allows users to search for, store, analyse and edit geographic and other spatial data. The concept encompasses vector and raster graphic editors, spatial databases and tools for data analysis, and has applications in cartography, ecology, transport, meteorology, and defence. The term was coined by Roger Tomlinson in 1968, though studies in GIS had been ongoing since the 1950s, when the first artificial satellites were launched into space. Google Maps is a GIS, albeit with less functionality than most professional tools.
Technical assessment of Respublika Life game and third-party source code. The task was made more difficult by the absence of any terms of reference. The release was launched in our office. Extensive documentation of the product has been written up. Update of the game and elimination of logic errors. Freezes were eliminated. Efficiency was increased with the help of a module for preliminary initialisation (prefork) of the framework's resources.
Centralised management system (CMS) secured premises via IP cameras. Images are displayed on a screen simultaneously and in real time. A part of the display is used for settings, camera management and playback of recordings. Suspicious events (break-in attempts, doors being left open for longer than a specified period of time) are marked and operators are notified.
An internal product. Supports flexible schedules in one or several remote offices. Records the beginning and end of a working day, lunch breaks and inactive time at the computer. When the data is collated a time sheet is generated, and working time, inactive time and overtime are calculated. Events are stored in a secure, non-editable format.
LARP taking into account players' physical location in a given urban area. Tournaments can be held with strangers or a group of friends. With the help of an editor a customised map can be created, with several teams registered, goals set, safety and danger zones marked, and weapons and artefacts located. There is a chat feature for group or private communications made during the game.
Database of taxi orders for distribution of payment between competitors in case of downtime or overload of fleets for taxi companies operating in urban areas. When one company is unable to respond to a call the information is directed to the exchange centre and is bought by another taxi. Pick-up time is shortened. Functionality for managing restrictions and black lists, and for receiving statistical reports.
Passengers are presented with a schedule of bus routes. Tickets are paid for via SMS, electronic wallet or bank card. Passengers choose a route and a place of arrival, buy and print out their ticket for collection before boarding. The route is selected using Dijkstra's shortest path algorithm in a directed graph with weighted arcs. Calculations are immediately sent to a company control system.
Calculation of operational circuit regimes. A library for quick circuit display in WPF.
Library for locating geographical sites with Windows Mobile and .NET. Blue dots on the map indicate cars fitted with surveillance equipment. Cartographic modules such as 2Gis, Google, Yandex, and ArcMap can be plugged in in vector and bitmap format.
The customer produces rail weighbridges as well as platform, truck and belt scales. Measurements can be made in motion and at rest. A core, module manager, file format for ten applications, and report tool have been written. API allows third-party programmers to insert plugins: graphical forms, configurations, scale drivers, semaphores and cameras.
Managing a lorry fleet for an open-pit coal mine: tracking the location and movement of vehicles at one-minute intervals; speed controls; detection of vehicle misuse; calculation of fuel use; visualisation of vehicle locations on a map; planning of variable routes. An agency application for a mobile and pocket computer. GPS is used to determine the geolocation.
