Toolkit for the automated testing of client/server, Java, internet and ERP applications running on Windows devices. It was developed by Rational Software, who had been working on testing software since the 1990s and released the RobotJ in 2002, before being acquired by IBM in 2003. It is a functional regression testing tool, and provides test cases for both common objects such as menus, lists and bitmaps, and environment-specific objects. UI technologies such as VS.NET, Oracle Forms, Visual C++ and Microsoft Visual Basic are supported. Today it forms part of the IBM Rational Quality Manager.
The customer produces rail weighbridges as well as platform, truck and belt scales. Measurements can be made in motion and at rest. A core, module manager, file format for ten applications, and report tool have been written. API allows third-party programmers to insert plugins: graphical forms, configurations, scale drivers, semaphores and cameras.
