Information security, or infosec, refers to actions taken to prevent unauthorized access to digital information. Its principle task is to secure data by preventing it from being compromised through theft, device failure, or any manmade or natural disasters. Julius Caesar is credited with the first data privacy measure, the Caesar cipher. There are many approaches and implementations, though a classic formula known as the ‘CIA triad’ refers to confidentiality, integrity and availability. Infosec must take into account security and access controls, risk assessment, containment and recovery.
A plugin which enables management of devices connected to the Axxon Next video surveillance network. The interface of the video-orientated Immix platform allows users to view live video streams, watch archival video recordings and manage playback, manage panoramic tilt zoom (PTZ), and receive signals when alerts and sensors are triggered. The product has passed stress-testing.
