Public key infrastructure (PKI) comprises a set of material, technical, and human tools that are used to solve problems in public-key encryption. Early developments were made in the 1970s at British intelligence agency GCHQ. Public keys are assigned to entities (individuals or organizations) by a certificate authority (CA), while a registration authority (RA) accepts requests for certificates and authenticates the entity. The entity can also be identified by a validation authority (VA). The process ensures the confidentiality of information and authenticates users and their access points.
An internal product. Supports flexible schedules in one or several remote offices. Records the beginning and end of a working day, lunch breaks and inactive time at the computer. When the data is collated a time sheet is generated, and working time, inactive time and overtime are calculated. Events are stored in a secure, non-editable format.
The customer produces rail weighbridges as well as platform, truck and belt scales. Measurements can be made in motion and at rest. A core, module manager, file format for ten applications, and report tool have been written. API allows third-party programmers to insert plugins: graphical forms, configurations, scale drivers, semaphores and cameras.
Server software creates an infrastructure with public-key encryption. The server can easily withstand hundreds of simultaneous connections. In the client-side application an accountant can save paper by typing out, signing and sending tax declarations from a laptop to the local tax office for inspection any time and from any place in the world.
