Operating system in the Unix-like family, based on the monolithic Linux kernel. First launched in September 2008, it was developed by the Open Handset Alliance, a consortium of 84 companies, as an open standard for mobile devices and sponsored by Google. It can run on a wide range of devices, including tablets, smartphones, smart watches, e-book readers, fitness bracelets, music players, netbooks, laptops, TVs, Google Glass and games consoles. It supports 32 and 64-bit platforms, MIPS, ARM and x86. Android is open-source and licensed under a combination of Apache 2.0 and GNU GPL.

By installing an application to a tablet PC with Android or iOS users can cast video to partners, allowing communication on work-related issues with colleagues working remotely. Tablets update content according to a schedule by requesting a new version of the package from the server. The software suits networked organisations for mailouts of advertisements and company notifications.
An internal product. Supports flexible schedules in one or several remote offices. Records the beginning and end of a working day, lunch breaks and inactive time at the computer. When the data is collated a time sheet is generated, and working time, inactive time and overtime are calculated. Events are stored in a secure, non-editable format.
