Over the years, I've had the pleasure of working with a number of companies, each with their own cultures, preferences, working habits and idiosyncrasies. However, the experience I've encountered thus far with EDISON has been second to none. Because of that, I'd like to say a word or four hundred regarding my experience of EDISON as a company, contractee, partner and as a friend.
When I first began to work with EDISON, I was amazed at the degree of diligence within the company. I graduated from Cambridge as an English teacher, prior to that, I studied Classics at King's College, but they nevertheless tested me thoroughly, taking the time to review the potential editor of their texts.
EDISON understands that the value of a product lies in even the faintest of details. They submitted to me articles that had only a couple hundred reads, from several years ago. It became clear to me that I was working with not just a software development company, but a true perfectionist. The level of perfectionism is almost akin to symptomatic OCD. I suppose that's a good thing when you're looking for a programmer though, right?
I'd also like to talk a bit about communication. Tom, the CTO, replies to my messages within minutes. Regardless of the time of day. I could be asking about the weather in Moscow, or querying some jargon in one of their articles, EDISON's communication lines are like an athlete's cardiovascular system – and I'm not even their client! It's worth mentioning too, that I'm a native of the English language. Every single person that I've dealt with at EDISON has a fantastic level of English.
Let's talk about payment. When I send an invoice, it gets paid within 3 days. Every time. It doesn't matter if my invoice is £100 or £1,000, without question, it gets paid. I've dealt with clients who negotiate post-contract, those who stall payment, even those who ignore my invoices altogether. In fact, I even got an unexpected Christmas bonus from EDISON. |

It amazes me that EDISON doesn't have more US/UK-based clients. If you've read to the end of this review, and you're considering starting a project, my oh my shall it be in safe hands with these guys.
