Bug tracker and testing tool developed by Terry Weissman and the Mozilla Foundation in 1998. Originally released as open-source, cross-platform software by Netscape Communications, it generates error notifications and messages requiring feedback. Its system requirements include a database management system (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle and SQLite are all supported), a web server with CGI support, Perl 5 language support, and a mail or SMTP server. It is used by WebKit, Mozilla Foundation, FreeBSD, Linux kernel, Apache and others, and is issued under the Mozilla Public License.
A utility package to provide maximum quality code and fail-safe operation of critical components. Module tests have been written. Test environment set up on a testing rig, with smoke testing, daily build and nightly test runs. The GUI is diagnosed by simulating user actions. Resource leaks are eliminated.
